Sadly, this the last post of my Croatia series </3 However I like to
think I saved the best for last as today I will be talking about food lol! Here
are my top restaurants/pub recommendations for Split and Dubrovnik!
Split
Mano - we went here on the first night and really enjoyed it. Good Italian food in a lively location and reasonably priced.
Regina - Super cute lil place to go for coffee/breakfast or drinks. The staff are so lovely as well! Well priced and definitely a must visit.
Marvlvs library jazz bar - omg my favourite place we visited I miss it so much! This is the coolest wee pub I’ve ever visited. It is dedicated to Marcvs Marvlvs who was considered the father of Croatian literature. There are lots of books available to read, even the menu is in the form of book containing stories and iconic quotes from literature. There is chess and instruments available to play - josh and I are obsessed with chess now lol. The atmosphere is super relaxed and friendly and the staff are sooo nice! I can't recommend this place enough.
Fratelli - Nice lil Italian/seafood restaurant near the port. I got the fish which was so good! Also reasonably priced.
Vidilica - The only cafe at Marjan hill. Although it was a little pricey the view was spectacular!
Bosso - omg I had the best burger here! Super cool burger joint and such great value for money. A must visit!!
Leonardo’s - Cute lil pub specialising in craft beer. Super chill and friendly vibe also reasonably priced!
Sexycow - A lil burger joint perfect for a quick bite or takeaway! Very instagram-able if that's your vibe lol.
Charlie's - okay pub wasn't really our vibe but would be perfect for backpackers or partiers!
Dubrovnik
Bon appetit - the only restaurant we ended up visiting in Dubrovnik as it was local to us and super cheap which is a rare find in Dubrovnik lol! Cute interior, friendly staff and good food! Vegan options too!
Places we wished we visited!
To je tako - This is supposed to be a great Mexican restaurant in Split however we couldn't get a seat when we went but would like to visit next time as it looks super nice!
Ghetto - We never went out out in Split however if you are looking for a nightclub this place looked pretty funky online.
Cave bar more - we did actually visit here but when we arrived it was shut haha. It seemed a lil fancier so was the perfect opportunity to get dressed up on the last night.
Bistro izvor - I was really sad we never got to visit this place which was recommended to us by a local. The restaurant overlooks a waterfall, stunning!
Hope you have enjoyed this little series and have found it informative! I hope to share future trips with you!
Hvala x
